A Shooting At A Teen Event In Fort Myers Has Killed Two, And Left Twelve Others Injured

Three people have been arrested in connection to the event with Police saying they believe was not an act of terror

Gun shots erupted last night outside Club Blu in Fort Myers, Florida. The club was hosting a teen event for kids aged between 12 and 17.

Parents were picking up their children when the gun fire started, many fled, packing their children into cars, but some couldn't get away fast enough

Sixteen were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds, ranging from mild to life threatening. As of this morning, two victims, aged 14 and 18, have died from their wounds.

The victims were Ste'fan Strawder, 18 and Shawn Achilles, 14. More information about them has yet to be released.

Club Blu released a statement this morning about the incident "We are deeply sorry for all involved," Club Blu said. "We tried to give the teens what we thought was a safe place to have a good time." Armed Security was present at the event but was unable to protect the teens. We hope that all of those who were injured have a speedy recovery.
