Malfoy Manor is in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire is a county in southwest England, about two hours west of London.

The "Malfoy" name means 'bad faith' and comes from old French.

J.K. Rowling went through other surnames, including Smart, Spinks and Spungeon.

The Malfoy family was not always such a Muggle-hating group.

They were merely elitists. Before the Statute of Secrecy, their only prejudice was against the poor in general.
