1

Soften your eyeliner

If you really want to achieve that smokey eye look, put your eyeliner tip under a candle flame for a second or two. The heat will slightly melt the tip and it will go on much smoother.

2

Use white glue as a base coat

When it comes to prom you probably want to whip out the glittery nail polish. Using white glue as the base coat will allow for easy removal of your nail polish and it stick on much better.

3

Check your mascara technique

Sweeping the mascara wand towards your nose will actually help your lashes look fuller and your eyes bigger. Also, don't pump the mascara, as it'll cause lumps and a dry application.

4

Spray perfume on your pulse points

If you spray your perfume willy nilly, it might smell really strong at first and then diminish quickly. Spraying perfume on your pulse points (inside wrist, behind knee, inside elbow, base of throat, and behind ear) will make the perfume scent last longer and it will be more subtle.

5

Use white eyeliner as an eyeshadow base

If you really want to make the color of your eyeshadow pop, apply white eyeliner to the lid so that it creates a blank canvas for the color being applied.

6

Use a bobby pin to apply false eyelashes

False eyelashes can be tricky! But they're not completely impossible! Use a bobby pin to achieve exact eyelash glue application. It also is way less messy and will secure your lashes better.

7

Make lipstick last longer

This trick is quick and so easy! After you've applied your lipstick, pout and put a tissue on your lips. Then dust your tissue covered lips with some translucent powder. This sets in the color into your lips and prevents your lipstick from coming off.

8

Cover those puffy eyes

Prom can be a stressful time, so puffiness may come about! The best way to apply concealer under your eye is to apply it as an upside down triangle with the base at the lash line and the tip of the triangle at the cheek. This will cover your puffiness and get rid of redness at the cheek.

9

Heat up your eyelash curler

Before using your eyelash curler, heat it up using your hairdryer for a few minutes. Once it's hot, apply it to your lashes and curl as usual. It kind of turns into a curling iron and makes your lashes more curly than ever.

10

Get the right contour angle

Get that natural contoured look by placing an eyeliner pencil or comb directly below your cheekbone. This will show you the right angle to start applying your bronzer or blush.
