Elvis recorded his first song at Sun Studio

Elvis Presley recorded his first ever single at Sun Studio, Memphis. Still a working studio, Elvis recorded the single, "'That's All Right Mamma'' on 5 July, 1954.

Elvis used this microphone to record "Blue Suede Shoes"

Elvis recorded his legendary single "Blue Suede Shoes," with the above microphone at Sun Studio in on January 1, 1956. Ozzy also recorded this song with Black Sabbath in 1970.

Ozzy was arrested in Memphis

On May 14, 1984 Ozzy was arrested in Memphis for public intoxication. Police say they found him staggering and apparently lost in Memphis' Beale Street. He was released five hours later.

There are only two known photographs of Robert Johnson

Legendary blues-songwriter and musician Robert Johnson is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of all time. However, these are the only known photographs of him.

He wrote 29 songs in two years

Johnson recorded 29 songs in two years but died at just the age of 27 in 1938 of unknown causes.

He is rumoured to have sold his soul to the Devil

Rumour has it that Johnson was able to produce such fantastic music by "selling his soul to the devil" and that his song "Crossroad" is about this. Apparently he was a failed musician for several years only to return to the music scene in 1936 with supreme talent. The legends goes that he sold his soul at the Memphis crossroads of Hwy 322/N. State St. and Desoto Ave.

Diddley bows, three string, often homemade instruments are rarely found outside of the deep South and yet heavily influenced the blues sound. Traditionally one of the first instruments Southern children had and learned, they are believed to have originated from West Africa.

Ozzy and Jack spend much of the episode searching for living blues legend Super Chicken. When they find him, they're invited into his home, where he shows off his many handmade diddley bows and learn that he's produced nine albums and won many awards - including the Living Blues Critics Award.
