Fire Cracker Burrito - Taco Bell (USA)

Taco Bell launched the Fire Cracker Burrito after Independence day in 2017. This burrito is super spicy and is loaded with cayenne pepper. But do you know what else it's loaded with? Pop Rocks. That's right, the crackling, crunchy candy that pops in your mouth. I assume the pop rocks are there to make the burrito crack like a fire cracker, but really is it a bit too far putting sound effects in your burrito?

2

Kuro Pearl Burger - Burger King (Japan)

These oddly black looking burgers are made using charcoal and squid ink...mmmm. The burger patties and cheese slices are infused with charcoal while the bread and fixins are infused with squid ink, making this a spectacularly black burger. The only ingredients that stay intact color wise are the tomatoes and lettuce. This burger goes by two names on the menu, the Ninja burger and the Kuro burger. I could see a Ninja smuggling one of these burgers while on a mission.

3

Buffalo Flavored Latte - Tim Horton's (U.S.)

I really do not know what would compel anyone to do this, but alas it exists, a Buffalo sauce flavored latte. Tim Horton's dreamed up this concoction and it is only available in two locations in the U.S. I'm not sure who would want hot and spicy buffalo sauce in their latte early in the morning, but they are selling them so it must be good right? Apparently the spicy buffalo sauce paired with the sweet chocolate and coffee instead the drink actually isn't half bad. You can liken it to chocolate with cayenne pepper in it. I guess....

4

Marmite Stuffed Pizza - Pizza Hut (New Zealand)

Marmite Pizza is actually something I can get behind. Marmite is basically the stuff that is left behind after brewing beer. It's savory and sticky and super salty. It could be good on pizza! Pizza Hut launched their Marmite Pizza in New Zealand, England and Australia. People down under love this stuff so I imagine they would also love this pizza. But I've also heard of the opposite where people absolutely hate the stuff, so you'll never know unless you try it.

5

Cookie Dough Tenders - Popeye's (USA)

This may look like ordinary, innocent chicken tenders but they are so not. These chicken tenders are fried in cookie dough, that's right. Popeye's introduced cookie chicken tenders in their stores for a limited time in 2017. God knows why, but people love cookie dough and people love chicken so in theory they should love this. But after a short stint, Popeye's never reintroduced the item, maybe because chicken shouldn't be fried in dessert?

6

Pumpkin Spice Fries - McDonald's (Japan)

Ok, this one makes me happy only because it's soooo ridiculous and brings Pumpkin Spice to a whole new level of weird. McDonald's in Japan launched these fries for Halloween and it is basically just fries drizzled with a pumpkin spice sauce and a chocolate sauce. I'm assuming this wouldn't taste very good, it's probably more for the novelty but at least it looks festive!

7

Flying Fish Roe Salmon Stuffed Pizza - Pizza Hut (Hong Kong)

Okay, I don't know about you, but I am living for this stuffed pizza. As someone who loves everything salmon, and yes I love fish, fish roe you name it. This sounds actually really really good. If you look at the salmon and cream cheese and bagel principle, fish and cheese should taste good together. And adding fish roe into a pizza crust I think is genius. But I'm a weird fish lover. I give this a pass!

8

Doughnut Burger - Burger King (Israel)

Israel is actually big into doughnuts, so this makes sense to me. For some reason, people get a kick out of mixing savory items like a burger with sweet items like doughnuts. Some like it, I'm a little averted to it. The burger is nestled between two Sufganikings which are Israeli jelly-filled doughnuts, except instead of jelly, they're filled with ketchup. At least they don't look super glazed or super sweet, so as long as you imagine it's just a bun, it should be okay.

9

Chizza - KFC (Asia)

Imagine a Hawaiian pizza but instead of a pizza crust it's a giant slab of fried chicken. That's essentially what a Chizza is. It sounds good in theory but don't you think that would be too much meat. It's cheese on meat, on meat. But I wouldn't avert to eating this. I imagine the crust would be crunchy as a crust should be and it would be extremely filling, but it wouldn't be half bad. The Chizza lives!

10

Eight Meats Pizza - Dominos (Australia)

This is exactly what you think it is. A pizza with eight meats. That's chicken, chorizo, pepperoni, ground beef, smoked leg of lamb (ok, fancy Dominos), pork and fennel sausage, italian sausage and crispy bacon all on a BBQ sauce base. I wouldn't oppose to eating this. Sure it's loaded with meat, but it doesn't make it inedible. You may get some indigestion though.

11

Pizza Mac - McDonald's (Germany)

This one makes me laugh! It's just so excessive, but I've heard of pizza buns out there, so this in theory could work. The burger itself is flavored with pizza ingredients such as marinara sauce, mozzarella and onions so you're getting the full pizza burger experience. This one would totally go down the hatch, who doesn't love pizza and who doesn't love burgers! It's a match made in heaven in my opinion.

12

Dried Pork and Seaweed Doughnuts - Dunkin' Doughnuts (China)

Ok, please don't judge me but I would totally eat these doughnuts. I get how people would think it's weird and gross because of the seaweed and the "dried" pork but sweet and salty can go together, heck sometimes sweet and seaweedy and go together. For those who don't like their doughnuts SUPER sweet this could...work. Just sayin'.

13

Red Rice Porridge - McDonald's (Singapore)

This one is kind of nice because it's fast food and it's healthy...but this isn't your Grandma's porridge, there are some pretty odd ingredients in here. This item includes red rice, bean curd, shitake mushroom, sweet potato, goji berries, coriander and corn. There is no milk and is comes to a soupy consistency. It looks alright I mean, it looks fresh and vegetarian and healthy so we shouldn't be complaining right? It just night not be my idea of breakfast.

14

Maple Vanilla Bacon Milkshake - Slater's 50/50 (USA)

Upon reading it, I didn't have a lot against this one. Maple? Good. Vanilla? Good. Bacon? Gooood. But what really good me was that this restaurant adds ground beef into the milkshake. So there's pureed ground beef in there and pureed bacon. I'm not sure I could get past that, it's just too meaty and too sweet at the same time.

15

Zinger Double Down - KFC

So it's meat, upon meat, upon meat, upon meat. This is a meat lover's dream or a vegetarian's nightmare. The sandwich consists of two fried chicken "buns" with a slab of bacon, a burger patty and white pepper sauce and barbecue sauce. It's pretty insane for a sandwich if you would call it a sandwich, it's more a meat entree. I could see myself disassembling this and eating the chicken and everything separately, otherwise it's too much meat in one bite...though others may disagree.

16

Vulcan Pizza - Nya Gul & Bla (Sweden)

This looks soooo interesting. The pizza is called a Vulcan pizza and it's shaped into a six point star with pockets in each end. In each pocket there is kebab meat, pepperoni, bacon and ham pieces. In the centre, there are dollops of sour cream, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, pepper and fries. It's like a smorgasbord of every kind of food and apparently people from Sweden love it!

17

Palabok Solo - Jollibee (Philippines)

The Palabok Solo is served at the popular Jollibee chain of restaurants. There's nothing glaringly wrong or weird with this dish. It's just...strange to have it as a fast food item. The Palabok Solo is shrimp with a boiled egg cut in two on top of other meats and are covered in sauce and piled on Bihon noodles. But hey, if you can get a full dish like this fast, I'm all for it!

18

Camembert Doughnuts - McDonald's (Germany)

Ok I don't know if whoever thought of Camembert doughnuts is a genius or insane but it's even weirder how it's from McDonald's. The McDonald's chain in Germany apparently uses super high quality "Alpine" Camembert cheese to make these doughnuts. They are mostly cheese with a breaded coating. These look decadently good! And would be great for dipping!

19

Lobster Roll - McDonald's (U.S.)

During lobster season, McDonald's will serve lobster rolls (usually in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire). The plus side of this item is that it's made with real Lobster...so no imitation meat here. But it costs quite a bit for a subpar roll. You could probably get a better one for the same . price in one of those regions. But if you're in a hurry and like lobster, this could be your ticket!

20

Chocodilla - Taco Bell (U.S. and U.K.)

Ok did I just die and go to heaven? This chocolate quesadilla is everything I want and more! Between the two flour tortillas are melted Kit Kat Bars, pressed in a quesadilla press. I'd take this before ny regular taco/quesadilla any day. Yum yum!

21

Spinach and Parmesan Nuggets - McDonald's (Italy)

Italy is known for some of the most delicious and gourmet food in the world. They have the finest cheeses and the freshest ingredients to use in their dishes. These chicken nuggets include parmesan experience. Spinach and cheese together is good so putting it in a chicken nugget, couldn't be too bad.

22

Pizzabon - Cinnabon (USA)

This is basically a Cinnabon sprinkled with cheese and pepperoni, melted to perfection. I dunno about you but this looks less like an innovative culinary feat and more like a cry for help. There's nothing wrong with the sweet cinnabon, I feel like adding a bit of cheese and pepperoni doesn't make it THAT much different. I think this is more like a novelty item to try once or twice then revert back to the original bun.

23

McCurry Pan - McDonald's (India)

Because most people in India do not eat meat (cow), many of their McDonald's items are vegetarian. This is essentially a pizza with curried vegetables on top with a curry sauce or cream sauce. It's a version of pizza that's meat-free and dairy-free. This doesn't seem so bad. I'd be curious to try it and compare it with regular pizza.

24

Vegan Burger - McDonald's (Finland)

Veganism is on the rise and Mcdonald's has answered the call. The vegan burger is served in McDonald's Finland and claims to taste exactly like a regular McDonald's burger. I would be game to try this. Especially since in claims to actually taste like meat.

25

Pizza Sized Burger - Burger King (Japan)

This 2500 calorie monster is only sold in Japanese Burger King ad is 22 inches in diameter! The burgers pull out seamlessly like a pizza. Of course this would be good to share with a few people. If you ate this by yourself you'd probably feel less than great afterward. But I could see this at a party or an event, it would be perfect.
