The study gave top priority to the quality of education to prepare a list of top ten affordable nations for overseas students. It first compiled a list of top universities and from that list then ranked the top ranked affordable nations, as quoted by the MBA Crystal Ball.

The study found that out of the top ten most affordable nations for overseas students, 8 nations are in Europe. This was chiefly due to the low tuition fee. However, the cost of living that is diverse across cities and the level of facilities may not appear to be low. This could be especially true for students from developing nations. Germany, Finland, and Sweden are amongst the nations with the lowest fee for tuition.
