This is Tiny Jake. At the tender age of four weeks, he found himself trapped in a shed that was on fire.

Not a good spot for a puppy to be.

Luckily, Tiny Jake was rescued by a heroic firefighter, but not before sustaining some really bad burns.

Having a cuddle with his new dad.

Tiny Jake had sustained burns across 75% of his body, including his paw pads. And to add insult to injury, the firefighter who rescued him got a call from his vet-his family had abandoned Tiny Jake at the vet's office.

But no worries. Tiny Jake's rescuer, William Lindler, didn't hesitate. He adopted Tiny Jake without a second thought.

Tiny Jake has been surrounded by his firefighting family ever since.

They've helped him heal, and no surprise, Jake has grown into a handsome fire pup. He hangs out at the station and is regarded as a mascot by the whole team.

"Get in! We're going for Pizza!"

In fact, Jake is officially a burn therapy dog! He's all grown up and handsome in his badge! Nice going Jake!
