Music Legend Prince Dead At The Age Of 57

Prince Rogers Nelson, the artist known to most as Prince, was found dead this morning in his Paisley Park Compound in Minnesota. Prince's sources state he had been battling a bad bout of the Flu. He was 57 years old.

The cause of his death is still unknown, though his plane made an emergency landing on April 15th-he told his fans he was fighting the flu.

Prince's break out album came in 1982, called '1999'. He achieved international superstardom with hits like "Little Red Corvette", "Kiss", and "When Doves Cry".

Over the course of his illustrious career he sold over 100 million records, and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Purple Rain".

He performed at the Superbowl in 2007, and continued to tour and work until his very last. Whatever else was going on, Prince put his music first.

He has left behind a towering musical legacy; his influence on modern music is incalculable. He will be sorely missed.

R.I.P Prince. No one will ever be able to take your place.
