BMW HP4 Race - 43,453

Probably the biggest surprise of the show, the HP4 Race will be the “most exciting and most exclusive motorcycle BMW has ever built,” according to the German firm – and it’s going on sale next year.

KTM 125 Duke - 4,524

The baby of the Duke family definitely punches above its weight, at number three on our list. It gets a bigger tank, a redesigned exhaust and new instruments, forks and LED lights for 2017, along with new styling.

MV Agusta F4Z - 2,485

Neither a production bike nor new, the MV Agusta F4Z was nevertheless one of the bikes of EICMA that caught your interests most. A look at it explains why. It’s a one-off collaboration between MV and Milan-based design house Zagato.

5

Suzuki GSX250R - 2,186

7

Royal Enfield Himalayan - 765

Royal Enfield seems to attract praise and derision in equal measure, but never less than loads of interest one way or the other. The firm’s first adventure bike is no exception. We can’t wait to have a go.

8

BMW R nineT Urban G/S - 747

This could be the coolest member of the R nineT family yet. We’re not entirely convinced about the prospect of taking it off-road. A bike this good-looking should be tackling the urban jungle, where as many people can see it as possible. Perhaps that’s why they called it the Urban G/S.

9

Kawasaki Z650 - 723

Out goes the ER-6n, in comes the Z650, with a new steel-trellis frame and much sharper styling, not to mention a much better name.

10

Yamaha T7 - 657

It’s still only a concept but Yamaha assures us the production version of the T7 – inspired by the XT660Z Ténéré, with an MT-07 engine – will be with us within two years.
