How to save more money when using the Munich public transportation?

15 and older
A single ticket allows you to travel one exact station. Once you have reached that station. Depending one the amount of zones you travel through the price of the ticket increases.
1 = 2,80€ 2 = 5,60€ 3 = 8,40€ 4 = 11,20€
when you travel through with in the same zone the ride only cost 1,40€

Before usage of the ticket you have got to stamp it

15 and older
A strip ticket costs 14,00€. The ticket contains 10 strips
for each zone that you are planning to travel though you have to use one of the strips.

15 and older
With a single day ticket you can do as many trips as you like till 6am the next morning. Depending on the type of day ticket you chose you can travel to different zones.

Inner district = 6,60 (white zone)
München XXL = 8,80 (white and green zone)
Outer district = 6,60 (Green, yellow and red zone)
Entire network = 12,80 (All zones)

You can use it every day as often as you like throughout the month that you paid for. Depending one how many zone you need to travel through the prices change. Onced purchased you are given a little card with you name and a picture of you on it. You have got to carry that with you wherever you travel with public transportation

2 zone = 54,50
3 zone = 65,80
4 zone = 78,20

6-14
the day ticket for children who are 14 or junger receive the same benefits as the version for people who are 15 or older with the different that children tickets cost 3,10 euro and that you get to travel around the entire network
