Eugene Bostick, from Fort Worth in Texas, has come up with an ingenious way to improve the lives of the stray dogs he cares for.

Speaking to The Dodo, he explained:

"People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live."

Although the dogs have enough room to run at his home, Eugene wanted to be able to take them to different places as well - and so he came up with the idea of the Dog Train.

He carved holes in empty barrels, placed them on wheels and attached them to a tractor.

Once or twice a week he takes them exploring around the area.

"Whenever they hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited," Eugene says. "They all come running and jump in on their own. They're ready to go."

Keep being awesome Eugene!
