Comicpalooza 2018 brings together creatives, fans and celebrities

The first part of day one was spent touring the exhibit hall, talking with vendors and attending panels.

Actor Charlie Cox took part in a Q&A session with fans of his character Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in Netflix's "Daredevil" and "The Defenders." The questions ranged from his thoughts on how Daredevil would be impacted by the Avengers film franchise to personal stories.

Actor Ross Marquand of "The Walking Dead" answered questions about the direction his character might take in season 9. Marquand also starred in "Avengers: Infinity War."

The Signal spent time on day two of Comicpalooza exploring the exhibit hall, attending celebrity Q&A sessions and the live podcast recording of Nerdy Bitches.

Actress Krysten Ritter answered audience questions about her roles in "Jessica Jones," "The Defenders" and "Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23."

Comicpalooza 2018 brought actor Tom Holland of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Avengers: Infinity War" to Houston. Holland's Q&A session was held in a nearly filled auditorium.

UHCL alumna Liz Serna took part in the recording of the 100th episode of her podcast Nerdy Bitches with co-host Heather. The live recording featured a game of Cards Against Humanity with Comicpalooza attendees.

During the final day of Comicpalooza 2018, The Signal spent time interviewing vendors, attending one last Q&A session and watching a game of quidditch.

The muggle quidditch match took place on the third floor of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Costume designer Ruth E. Carter presented at her Q&A session about the process behind creating memorable looks for the film "Black Panther."

The three-day event came to a close on May 27, after having brought together fans of both broad and niche interests. The 11th Comicpalooza is set to take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center May 10-12, 2019.
