Bishops Palace

Admission: Adults $14, Youth (6 through 18) $9, Children 5 and under free
Hours of Operation: Sunday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Features: Built in 1892 by lawyer Colonel Walter Gresham and designed by Nicholas Clayton. The Bishops Palace has colored stone, rare woods, beautiful stained-glass windows and fireplaces from around the world.

Moody Mansion

Admission: Adults $12, Students (6 through 18) $6, Children 5 and under free
Hours of Operation: Open daily from 10a.m. - 5 p.m. Ticket offices closes at 4 p.m.
Features: Built in 1895 and named for William Lewis Moody, Jr., an American financier and entrepreneur in the cotton business. Mr. Moody bought the mansion from Narcissa Willis.

The Elissa

Admision: Adult (19 and up) $12, Youth (6 through 18) $9, Child 5 and under free
Hours of Operation: Summer open daily 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Winter open daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Features: Built in 1877 in Aberdeen, Scotland by Alexander Hall & Company.

Tree Sculpture Tour

Facts: After Hurricane Ike hit Galveston in 2008, Galveston lost a lot of its tree canopy. Several years later, a tree sculpture came and gave a second life to the trees that were destroyed in the hurricane.

Tremont House

Features: The Tremont House is the oldest hotel in Galveston. The original Tremont House was built the same year that Galveston was officially founded. This hotel has a rooftop bar and is in walking distance from the strand.

Features: Built by James M. Brown, in 1859. An Italianate villa, with a coal burning fireplace in every room. Gas chandeliers are in every room.The water was supplied by copper and cypress cisterns mounted on the back of the house.

The Grand 1894 Opera House

Self guided Tours: $2 a person, last entry at 4 p.m. (unless there is a show booked during the day)

Features: One of the few remaining theatres of its era in Texas and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
