A Couple had sex at an HDB void deck and we are so shocked!

So, a young couple were recently caught having sex at an HDB void deck in Yishun (at around 4 am). What do you honestly feel about the incident? What would you do if you saw something like this and your kids were around ?

Oh gosh, defintely not gonna be happy witnessing that with my kids and will be hard to explain as well.

First thoughts would be disapproving and angry because #1 sex should not be displayed in public as it is a private activity that should never be displayed openly.

#2 upset because it's a terrible influence for minors.

I really cannot imagine how I'll actually react but I guess first reaction would be to divert attention by walking against the direction of the couple hoping my kids never saw any of it.

If they did happen to catch a glimpse and asked about it, I'll explain to them that the man and woman is doing something which should not be done in front of others because it is 'shame shame' (my kids are toddlers so explaining it's shameful).

And try to divert the topic so that the memory of the scene does not linger in them for long. After all they're still really young to really understand and remember.

On a lighter note, Government encourages more babies & 1 minister said we only need small space for sex right?

1) If my kids saw something like that, I would explain it in brief, but explain that it is something to be done indoors, privately

2) If my kids weren't around, I would probably interrupt the couple and tell them off!

I feel youngsters should be taught about how to behave appropriately in public. Sex is definitely not something meant for a public audience.

While I understand that youngsters get carried away with their hormones, if their parents have instilled in them a basic understanding about what you can and cannot do in public, they will probably think twice about engaging in a public show like this.

And if my young children were to see adults having sex in public - I would be mortified and take them away from there as soon as possible.

As for answering their questions, I really don't want to think about it BUT I might say it's one of the ways people show their love for each other but they're not meant to do it for everyone to see. They're too young for a more in-depth explanation!
