The Spanish powerhouse are expected to sail through to the next round as nobody is giving their opponents any real chance. Apart from the fact that this day was remembered for reasons not having anything to do with sports, Guti and Figo found the back of the net for the Los Blancos before Totti scored a late consolation penalty.

Ronaldo and Figo tore their opponents apart in this very one-sided game. Luckily for Roma, the players were saved the humiliation as the match was played in an empty stadium where Madrid ran riot. It was classic performance by the Galacticos with the likes of Ronaldo, Beckham, Owen and Zidane contributing.
