Making quite an entrance in season 3!
Right from the beginning Zelena has made it clear that she wouldn't take shit from anyone. She did make quite an entrance with getting comfy in her half-sister's castle, locking the Evil Queen out of her own premises. We knew this would be good once Zelena took her sweet time putting on the Evil Queen's dress, stating how much better she looked in it.
Pretending to be Mary Margarets midwife
In order to get hold of the little one once he is born!
Except for Zelena, and us of course, no one knows who she really is because they were still missing a whole year of memories at that time. We knew very well that she would be up to no good. While she used all her charm to gain the princess' trust she also froze Belle along the way and managed to curse Charming's sword while everyone was out there hunting for the Wicked Witch. Hiding in plain sight, way to go!
Taking away baby Neal right after birth.
If there's one thing we've learned by now it is this: Every curse needs a baby somehow. Poor baby Neal, he didn't even have name back then, with no time to arrive safely and cuddle with mommy a little longer before the Wicked Witch came strutting like she owned the place, she really did somehow, and snatched away the newborn to open a time portal. Let's just hope the tiny munchkin won't remember any of this.
Being responsible for Neal's death.
To be honest I've never been too keen on little Neal's name giver, Neal Cassidy; Emma's former love, Henry's father and Gold's son. Still I felt like he was more of a collateral damage and a way of gaining control over Gold. Zelena also mentions his death once more to the Dark Swan in season five.
"I killed Neal. Ready to kiss and make up?"
Keeping the Dark One as her pet.
Quite literally the Wicked Witch kept the Dark One locked up in a cage, controlling him with the infamous dagger. The student quite successfully outwitted her teacher and she used Rumpelstiltskin to get to Snow White's baby and, as mentioned above, kill his son along the way. That's quite a way to go simply to get revenge on her sister Regina and it is most certainly wicked!
Disguising herself as Ariel to fool Hook
Captain Hook has most certainly been fooled by our favorite witch when she disguised as Ariel, who had no business in Storybook after all. The whole thing ended with the Captain's lips being cursed for the simple purpose of taking the Dark Swan's magic away. How tragic for the two lovebirds: One kiss and all her magic would be gone, and Zelena threatened to command the Dark One to kill Emma if Hook told her the truth!
Enjoying her moment of victory after having fooled the heroes
I couldn't be more delighted by how perfect this scene was acted out - kudos to Rebecca Mader! The Wicked Witch certainly enjoyed her little moment of victory over a somewhat helpless Gold - having outsmarted her former tutor once more with pure wickedness. I really can't see anyone else pulling that off.
Marian, who is not Marian at all.
Surprise!!! So we all thought Robin had left Storybooke with his wife and son, in order to keep Marian alive. So when Regina finally had the courage to go and find him in NYC we were served with a pretty wicked plot twist. I remember not having expected this, although I was kinda glad to have Zelena back, but turns out that dear Robin had not spent time with his wife but with Regina's sister - for the purpose of getting revenge.
Zelena having a baby by her sister's true love.
Wait, what? I think we need to back up a little. I wasn't quite sure if I got this right when I saw this. This couldn't be true. Rock bottom, the most evil thing you could actually imagine. So, Zelena did not only fool everyone with her identity, she also got pregnant by Robin. I remember how ridiculous it seemed, that was low down. In the end the whole thing turned out to be so wicked that it was almost good and Zelena's way of handling the situation, along with her sassiness, certainly made it a little more... entertaining? It was still pretty wicked and everything you would expect from the Wicked Witch of the West.
