Producers Launch Innovative Studios, Set to Meet "Needs of the Ever-Changing Music Industry"

Jaffa Sound Arts is a complex of four top-notch recording studios located in a historical 1200 years old building, in the heart of the old city of Jaffa.

The studio was founded by Dan (Piloni) Kark, Liron Schaffer and Amit Sagi, three experienced music professionals who took part in some of Israel's most successful productions in the past two decades.

The Jaffa Sound Arts Team is an elite group of top notch producers, sound engineers and educators, who are set to meet the new needs of the ever-changing music industry.

The heart of three-level complex, totalling 260 square meters, is a 55 sqm, high-ceiling control room housing a 48-channel ssl-6000 analog console, ATC 200 Studio monitors and a classic collection of high-end professional audio gear.

The studio was designed by Roger D'Arcy, "international man of studio design" (Mix Magazine). His notable past clients include the likes of EMI Music, THE BBC, The Cure, Annie Lennox, Bryan Ferry, The Kinks, Optimum Mastering, Black Rock Santorini, the legendary Lansdowne Studios in London and literally hundreds of others worldwide.

There are two music halls, three digital control rooms varying in size from 25 sqm to 40 sqm. The rooms are interconnected with analog, digital, network and video cables, in order to allow multi-room sessions. The studios' acoustic design was made by Roger D’arcy from Recording Architecture. All of the studios are equipped with Atc Speakers and Crane song Avocet monitoring systems.

Jaffa Sound Arts is collaborating with Old Jaffa Development Company LTD, a governmental company under Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, in the development of touristic and educational events like production master-classes, “inside the studio” live shows, Arab-Jewish musical collaborations and more.
