83' - GOAL! Game over as Dover scramble it in on the line.
Featherstone sent off in the aftermath for dissent. The third Pools person to see red today.
80' - Another howler from the referee.
Hignett and Donaldson see red for decent. Toure denied a clear penalty.
78' - Sub for Pools - Featherstone on for Noble
77' - HOW HAS THAT NOT GONE IN!
Luke James has his shot blocked and then Michael Raynes is denied twice on the line! WOW!
77' - Pools pushing for an equaliser as Dover look to hold on. 0-1
Almost every Pools player is in the Dover half.
73' - First change for Pools. James for Richardson - they change to a 4-3-3
68' - Killip claims the ball goes to clear it forward, is impeded but gets a talking to from the referee
At least a free-kick was awarded.
65' - The ball falls to Kioso and bounces off a Dover defender and out, of course, for a goal kick.
Some of the decisions made today have been scary. To say the plot has been lost would be an understatement.
A formation change for Pools...
They look to have switched to a front three with Donaldson on the right and Toure on the left of Kabamba. A 3-4-3 formation as it stands.
It's all happening here! Toure hits the post!
A fan makes his way onto the pitch to have a go at the referee. Pools see a clear handball penalty turned down and Gime Toure breaks through on goal but is denied by the post! It looked like it was in!
57' - The referee is having a mare here!
Chants of 'you don't know what you're doing from the home fans ring out' as the referee gives Dover possession to restart play following a stoppage despite Pools having a throw-in.
50' - WHAT A SAVE BY KILLIP! WOW!
A quite remarkable stop from Killip as he somehow keeps out Effiong's point blank effort. Unbelievable stop.
47' - Penalty shout for Pools not given!
Kabamba is dragged down inside the penalty area. Looked to have a good claim for a penalty but the referee waves the appeals away. Hignett has his head in his hands!
We're back under way...

A fan view of the penalty incident. Not pretty from a Pools point of view

Half-time player ratings
Ben Killip - 6
Very little to do and had no chance with the penalty.
Aaron Cunningham - 6
Conceded the penalty which looked harsh on first viewing.
Michael Raynes - 7
Kept things organised and running smoothly in defence despite a questionable penalty conceded which sees Pools trail at the break.
Kenton Richardson - 7
Won the ball back well on occasion and looking solid on his first start since the opening day.
Mark Kitching - 6
Steady away but still sorely lacking an end product after getting into some promising positions.
Gus Mafuta - 5
Not his usual enforcing self with a few misplaced passes so far.
Liam Noble - 6
Neat and tidy on the ball but hasn’t had much of a chance to make a serious impact so far. A skied free-kick his only effort on goal.
Ryan Donaldson - 7
Working hard and running tirelessly for the team in an attempt to link the defence and attack.
Peter Kioso - 6
A few clever pasess and tough tackles at both ends. Had one or two slightly shaky moments though.
Nicke Kabamba - 7
Some very neat touches and hold-up play but his chances have been limited.
Gime Toure - 6
In and out of the game. A few clever runs and turns but not overly threatening so far.
Half-time - Hartlepool 0-1 Dover Athletic
45' - The boos are ringing out at The Vic. We're finally back under way. 0-1
Something clearly quite serious happened in the aftermath of Dover's goal, the crowd clearly not happy with the penalty decision which was dispatched by Effiong.
We still haven't resumed play here at The Vic.
Something quite serious may have happened though we're not sure what. There could be some repercussions here.
37' - GOAL! Effiong gives Dover the lead from the spot and it's all kicking off.
Effiong scores but during the celebrations for Dover. Things start getting heated between both sets of players and the Pools fans.
PENALTY TO DOVER!
Effiong goes down inside the area.
28' - Bookings for both sides
26' - Great ball forward from Cunningham. 0-0
Kabamba does well to bring down and hold up Cunningham's cross-field ball forward before Dover clear the danger.
24' - Ricky Modeste heads wide from the corner. 0-0
24' - Kioso misses the chance to clear and Raynes slides out for a Dover corner. 0-0
Dover looking good the past five minutes.
22' - They're back on their feet. 0-0
Passley returns to the field quickly while Mafuta is made to wait. Both are back on now though as Dover continue to press without creating any chances so far.
20' - MEN DOWN!
Gus Mafuta and Dover's Josh Passley are currently receiving treatment by the right corner flag. Doesn't look too serious at the moment.
18' - It's yellow for Raynes. A fairly tame foul 30-yards from goal but the referee wasn't having it.
16' - Not quite the right execution. 0-0
Noble's free-kick is cut back to Kitching on the edge of the box. The left wing-back takes a touch and sees his shot skied well over the bar from 20-yards. That one didn't go to plan.
16' - Kioso wins a free-kick down the right side. 0-0
Decent chance for Noble to whip a good ball in. Most players in the Dover box.
12' - A nice move by the hosts. 0-0
This won't make the highlights but what a nice little move by Pools. Richardson shows great tenacity to keep at his man and win the ball back on the halfway line before playing it to the feet of Toure who Cruyff turns his man wonderfully before spraying the ball out to Noble on the right. Noble's cross is teasing for Kabamba but headed clear by the Dover defence.
6' - Free kick in a promising position - wasted
Kabamba gets brought down 25-yards from goal but the resulting free-kick is fired 25 yards over the goal by Noble.
3' - Donaldson clips a nice ball forward for Kabamba
It's looking promising but Dover 'keeper Lee Worgan is quick off his line as he comes way outside his box to clear the danger. That got the home crowd going, good atmosphere as usual so far at The Vic.
We're under way!
Dover get the ball rolling at Victoria Park! Hopefully it's another good game for Pools!

The Pools skipper in today's programme
At this stage we are not too far away from where we'd like to be though so now we just have to concentrate on finding that greater consistency and hopefully we can keep moving in the right direction."

3-4-3 or 3-5-2?

Two changes for Pools
Kabamba is in for Kennedy and Richardson is in for the injured Fraser Kerr. Pools look to be keeping with the 3-5-2 formation that has seen them lose just one of their last six matches in the National League.
Setting the scene...
It's a lovely sunny day here at Victoria Park but there's a bit of a breeze picking up as usual. Pitch looking great as always but no sign of either team so far. Team news in five minutes.
We're in position and the pitch is looking stunning

Opposition view from Dover
“I would’ve thought that we’ve won the most away games in the league. Five away games and we’ve won four of them.
I’m not concerned by that [dropping down the table], but we’ve obviously got to get going again."
Andy Hessenthaler
Dover Athletic manager
Higgy's view on Dover's threats
They’ve got decent wide men, they lost Alfie Pavey to Barnet who was a real threat and scored against us last year but they’ve still got [Inih] Effiong who is a big threat and a powerful lad who can be a real handful on his day."
Craig Hignett
Hartlepool United manager
