Delete the card

Treat the card like it has been lost by putting a L in front of the barcode and adding a lost block

Insist that they will have no financial responsibility to the card and refuse to delete.

Staff need to make sure to include what school the minor attends

Staff should input the library's phone number if the child is unable to provide one

Staff should make the Notification option "none"

Tell the patron this is not allowed.

Suggest the patron get a full access card so they can check out the book.

Tell the patron they will need their parent's permission to check out the book.

The patron must provide photo identification for a replacement.

Place a "Lost" block on the card until the parent can come in.

Ask the patron her name and date of birth. Write her card number down on a small piece of paper.

10 for the first 30 days

$0.10 per day over the due date

There is a 3 week grace period during which overdue fines will not accrue. After that fines accure from the original due date.

Fines are subtracted from a $25 credit, applied yearly.
