Try and find things that will last a long time
Bedding and Furniture are the biggest ones. I totally get wanting to get something that is super cute, but super cute is not always better. For comforters and bedding go by thread counts and materials of the bedding. You can still find super cute bedding for cheap that will last. As for Furniture you dont have to do so much upkeep just make sure when cleaning use the right products as not to damage the furniture. Another important tip is take furniture family is willing to part with, if they offer it take it you can decorate it later and you wont have to pay hundreds of dollars on a dresser!

Flower Pots really come in handy when you need to organize and hello is adorable. Get pots that have hooks though so you can run string through and hang more pots for extra storage. You can organize spices, toiletries, hair supplies or even school supplies or just try them all.
