There's a new therapy fad sweeping Japan known as Otonamaki, which literally translates to "adult wrapping," more affectionately known as "adult swaddling."
Particularly popular among new mothers who have just given birth, Otonamaki involves wrapping a person up fairly tightly in a cloth and then allowing them to rock back and forth and side to side on the ground. This is supposed to alleviate hip, shoulder, and back pain. You can watch a brief video clip of the practice here:

Some doctors, however, are skeptical of Otonamaki's efficacy. Chiropractor Shiro Oba still thinks people experiencing body aches should see a physician rather than wrap themselves up in a claustrophobic bag and roll around on the ground.
There may be cases where people with asthma may find it easier to breath [in that position], but once the cloth is off it's the same thing. But apart from that, I just can't think of how people can benefit from this even as a form of... exercise.
