Microsoft Surface Book

Microsoft's new Surface Book sends a clear message: It has to be in my house. This snappy little laptop is a serious contender to the dominance of the MacBook.

This laptop seriously has the best of both worlds. Imagine an iPad Pro combined with a MacBook Pro and you'd pretty much be there. The Surface Book has a detachable screen that also comes with a stylus which allows you all the functionality of a tablet, but once you click it back into the bottom, the power and familiarity of a laptop. 1-Click Ordering is dangerous with these on the market.

Apple iPhone 7 & 7 Plus

Coming in at number three is the Apple iPhone 7 & 7 Plus. With the latest iteration of the most popular smartphone in the world, Apple has another huge hit, which means it's a must-have.

This year, Apple has done away with the now-fabled headphone jack. A piece of hardware introduced in the late 1800s, it's enjoyed quite the lifetime. Well that's over. In fact, it's not a terrible thing at all, those Lightening Headphones sound AMAZING thanks to the higher fidelity of a digital connector. But, that's not the only reason to pick this up this Friday; the 7 has a 14% bigger battery than its predecessor, and is the first iPhone to have stereo sound. All this on top of one of the best cameras in the market. Oh, and it doesn't explode.

8

Microsoft Surface Studio

Microsoft made some serious headlines late last month with the debut of the Surface Studio. This monster will give the iMac a run for its money.

The Surface Studio is a 28-inch all-in-one touchscreen desktop PC. It's specs are impressive, and the bezel and design of the stand allow it to be both a developer's and graphic artist's dream. It also comes with a new input form called the Surface Dial which has a surprising amount of functionality with the PC. Apple better get its desktop game in order, because the once-behemoth is now facing stiff competition with this monster on the market.

9

Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

Your Number One Black Friday Pick should definitely be the brand new Macbook that just came out late last month. And there's one big reason it's at the top of this list: the TouchBar.

Apple has a firm "no touchscreen" policy on their Macs. They just don't think it translates well. However, their answer to the now stable touchscreen trend in PC manufacturers is the brand new TouchBar. Where the function keys are, there is now an OLED touch screen that reveals curated controls for whichever app is currently open. Oh, and it has Touch ID in the right hand corner.

Keyboards have had those function keys for decades; they're useful, but not overtly. Apple firmly reinvented the Keyboard by adding new way to interact with your keyboard.
