Having won 1-0 at home in the first leg, Real Madrid travelled to Bayern Munich for the second leg of the Champions League semi final wary of a Bavarian reaction.
However, Ramos' powerful header, his first of two goals, set Carlo Ancelotti's men on to a historic and humiliating victory in the Allianz Arena to set up a final with Atletico Madrid.
4. Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid (5-3 on penalties), May 2016

Hardly the most aesthetically pleasing strike of his but a crucial one nonetheless. In a repeat of the 2014 final, Real and Ateltico went head-to-head in Milan to play out the grandest game in European club football.
Now captain, Ramos got on the end of Toni Kroos' free kick to put Zinedine Zidane's men ahead and although Atleti would tie the scores, the Spanish defender was one of those to score in the winning penalty shootout.
3. Real Madrid 3-2 Sevilla (aet), August 2016

While some may not take the European Super Cup too seriously, there was a lot at stake as reigning European champions Real Madrid took on La Liga rivals and Europa League victors Sevilla earlier this season.
Jorge Sampoali's men looked to be heading to glory being 2-1 up in the final minute of injury time, yet, Sergio Ramos' equaliser at the death forced extra time, in which Dani Carvajal would score a late winner.
2. Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid, December 2016

It wasn't the first time that Sergio Ramos has scored in El Clasico, but his late, late header at the Nou Camp to earn the team from the capital a valuable point could well be pivotal in the race for the La Liga title.
With the clock about to hit 90, the Spanish international found himself unmarked in the area and gladly powered an unstoppable header past Marc-Andre ter-Stegen in the Barca goal.

Undoubtedly his most iconic and important goal, Sergio Ramos rose highest to put away Luka Modric's corner as Real Madrid aimed to stay alive in the Champions League final against local rivals Atletico.
His dramatic equaliser sent the game into an additional 30 minutes in which Los Blancos would score three more goals to secure a historic 10th Champions League title, La Undecima.
