Darius Stevens had a pretty bad year. He lost his job. His family lost their house. He was turning forty and hadn't yet been able to publish any work. And he had skin cancer.

His wife's birthday was coming up, and Darius decided it was time to do something epic for her. He got another job, and moved his family to a beautiful new house. That had not such a beautiful back yard.
