A Woman Heard Strange Quacking, What She Did Next Is Pretty Adorable!

Leah Banks heard frantic quacking, so she came running to see what was going on. And it was good that she did, because seven ducklings were trapped down a pool drain, and they couldn't get out.

It wasn't an easy task. The first two she could reach, but the pipe was deep, so she had to get creative. The Momma Duck was distressed and needed to be restrained, but eventually Leah rescued all of the ducklings!

But the Momma Duckling was so distressed by the situation that she started trying to drown the smallest duckling. It was so brutal to watch the Leah couldn't help but intervene. She picked up the poor thing and took it home. And named it Piper.

As cute as he is (he's pretty dang cute), Banks felt bad about keeping a wild animal as a pet, so she took Piper to a Wildlife Outreach Center where he can be properly cared for. Piper gets to live with a bunch of other orphaned ducklings!

Major props to you, Ms. Leah Banks, for being so kick ass! It can't have been easy giving this lil guy up!
