This Rescue Bunny Went On A Truly Epic Beach Vacation!

Basil the Bunny hadn't had a great year; she was handed over to a DC shelter because no one in her house was willing to take care of her. Poor Basil got stuck at the shelter for a few months before a hero showed up...

Her new Mom, Amelia Perez! Amelia had had a support animal, a guinea pig named Chester, die recently and was looking for a new little best buddy. Basil was the perfect candidate!

Amelia noticed that her new little friend didn't hop around much inside, so she put a little harness and a leash on Basil and they went adventuring outdoors! Basil seemed much happier, and has donned her leash and harness ever since!

Amelia decided it was time for a vaction-they had both had a pretty hard year. It was time to go to the beach!

Basil had a hopping good time! She was a fan favorite on the shore, making everyone smile with her niffy nose and fluffy butt! Nice going Amelia-we're glad you had a good vacation, Basil!
