The list of countries this affects is 'secret'.
The new edict is said to be in relation to several airports across the middle east.
The airports are in Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan and The United Arab Emirates.
Airlines were given 96 hours to comply with the 'circular', even though this is not a new law all airlines are expected to comply.
Homeland Security claims that this is in response to a threat of terrorism.
