The founder of Basaltclan, she was the greatest warrior of her time and could fight off anything. She was proud, aggressive, and not afraid to speak her mind. Said to have had 'fire in her veins and bones made of iron', Suntide was always willing to fight for her clan and family, whether or not they were in the right. She doesn't back down, and focuses more on the physical rather than the mental. Suntide was not very social outside of her clan, but when it came down to it, she was an amazing politician.

The founder of Waveclan, Nighttide was smart, cunning, and quick. Preferring to wait things out and to pick sides later, he was the true neutral of the founders. Incredibly innovative, Nighttide was known for being 'quiet as the darkest night and just as mysterious'. He didn't speak unless he had something important to say- so best listen up. While not strong, Nighttide could outmaneuver opponents by being quick on his feet and even quicker with his mind, staying steps ahead of his opponent and remaining calm even in the face of danger or defeat.

The founder of Geyserclan, she was logical and smart. With knowledge and wisdom beyond most, Steamtide was among the smartest in the clans. Known to be reclusive and off-putting, some wonder why she was chosen to lead. But it doesn't take away from how she can win with words alone, picking apart her opponents using stinging insults and scathing truths. The 'cold queen', Steamtide was only willing to talk with those she deemed smart enough, not sugar-coating her words. Blunt, smart, and socially inept, Steamtide was truly deserving of her title.

The founder of the patriarchy in Basaltclan, he was ruthless and with no regard for she-cats. A bully and tyrant, Crashtide was frowned upon by the other clans. He was incredibly strong, the best fighter the living had ever seen- he was more than physically capable. With a voice that raised armies, it's no surprise how he rose to power. The 'mad king' of Basaltclan, no one dared to question him because of his sociopathic tendencies and how we could easily overpower anyone who stood in his way.

The deceased deputy of Smoketide, Thornstep served Basaltclan well. Beautiful and smart, she balanced out Basaltclan's more war-like mind set and made relationships with the other clans. Renowned for her political ability, very few could argue against her and win. Basaltclan's 'blazing flower', Thornstep was critical, deep thinking, and incredibly aware of others. Murdered for her beliefs that war wasn't everything, Thornstep remains as a legend- now told to warn she-cats in Basaltclan of how they shouldn't let power go to their heads, and that they should just keep quiet.

The first medicine cat apprentice to ever be killed, Dapplefin was mourned in Basaltclan for many moons. Serving as a reminder to live and die by the warrior code, she died protecting the medicine cat den from a Geyserclan attack. Smart, sweet, and calm, Dapplefin was a friend to all. She was extremely talkative, willing to speak with anyone about any topic. Not much could rattle Dapplefin, she was able to keep a straight face in any situation and had a constant tone of authority and friendliness, regardless of the situation or conversation.

Perhaps the known to be the medicine cat with the greatest loss of life, every apprentice Frogfoot had died tragically. With the best intentions at heart, Frogfoot tried everything to assure the Basaltclan medicine cats were safe and continuing to learn- but it came at a cost. In his attempt for higher knowledge, he made a deal with the Abyss. In return for every new cure Frogfoot discovered, one would lose a life. Many cats lost their lives because of his actions, and so Frogfoot is a tale to warn those who would consider making a deal with the Abyss. In Frogfoot's quest to make life better for the clan, he ended up making others suffer.

The first deputy of Waveclan, she was a fiery warrior and a brave fighter. Not willing to back down, Shinestep proved vital in exploring the island when the cats first landed on it. Claiming the Waveclan territory, Shinestep grabbed the biggest chunk of land for her clan and not backing down on giving up a single pawstep. Confident and stubborn, Shinestep's best traits turned out to be her worst traits. Her ambition and temper proved to be her downfall, as she was killed when attempting to find out what was in the forest that Waveclan owned.

He's... weird.

'The Lawmaker', Ravenwhisper made most of the warrior code that the living still go by. While many laws were made before Ravenwhisper was born, he contributed the most to fleshing them out and making sure everyone knew of and obeyed the warrior code. Somewhat stuck up and condescending, Ravenwhisper treated others like kits- but only if he thought they were deserving. With a mean streak a mile wide, this is made up for in how he is willing to drop anything for his friends.

The first medicine cat to talk with the Tidespirits, without Fallengaze the clans would not be the same. Loyal to a fault and incredibly kind, anyone could count on Fallengaze, which is why the Tidespirits were attracted to him. Helping to tell the tale of their ancestors, Fallengaze proved time and time again to be faithful and wise. Later on dying for his faith, Fallengaze was killed by a cat from Basaltclan who thought he was insane and spouting nonsense.

Known as 'Geyserclan's guild', Foampond led the clans into a new era concerning medicine. Very smart and witty, Foampond created new herb mixes and was the one to cure muddy eye. A great friend, but deadly if one betrayed him, he turned into a cat to fear. Foampond made a friend group so large, and with many in high places, that others were scared to even talk with him. Later on, Foampond was killed out of a group of cats living in fear.
