Right now I honestly need more...

Jeremiah 31:3

Jeremiah 31:3

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." - Jeremiah 31:3 (ESV)

In this season of your life God wants to consume you with His love again. If you were honest, you may have been feeling pretty alone, misunderstood and on your own. You may have been seeking other things outside of Him to feel significant or have been busy filling your time with "good things" while God is calling you to simply be still and let your heart be fulfilled by Him first. Meditate on this verse and decide to do something every day that will draw you closer to His heart.

Malachi 3:6

Malachi 3:6

"For I am the Lord, I change not." - Malachi 3:6 (KJV)

Change, change, change. A number of events, big and small, have happened in your life that did not go as expected. Some may have been huge disappointments and others you were just simply not emotionally prepared for. If you were to be honest life has been pretty unreliable and it's left you hanging in the balance. This season God wants to remind you to put your trust is His never-changing hands. No matter what shifts in the world around you, they do not determine His plans for you; which are for GOOD, to give you a future and a hope. Focus on trusting in Him alone, again.

Galatians 6:9

Galatians 6:9

"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up." - Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

There's no doubt that you've been putting in work. Don't think for one second that it has gone unnoticed. God is invested in your every move and is pleased by your dedication and perseverance. In this season be encouraged to not grow weary because your efforts are not in vain! At the right time all of your hard work will reap a harvest and God will continue to reward you with more as you steward all you have with faithfulness. Just be sure not to ever let the hustle of this life distract your heart from God because works without true faith is also dead.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed." - 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT)

Times have been difficult, to say the least. Your faith and esteem have taken a hit because the trials seem unrelenting. You might be at the place right now where you're beginning to wonder how much you can carry anymore. In this season God wants you to focus on His strength, not yours. He wants you to meditate not on what you can do, but on who He is in your life. Because His spirit lives on the inside of you, you're stronger than you think. But it takes giving God your weakness in exchange for His power. He will not let you ruin. Remember this is just a season and not your future. It will pass and you will become not only stronger, but wiser. Keep your head up!

2 Corinthians 10:5

2 Corinthians 10:5

"We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ." -2 Corinthians 10:5

Remember what you give your mind over to is what begins to have power over you. If you were to be honest, lately you've been feeding your fears more than your faith. You've been anxious, walking by sight and not by faith. You've been in the habit of predicting the worst before the best and lost sight of trusting God for the outcome of your life. In this season, God is calling you to become more aware of the direction of your thoughts and align them with what He has to say about you and your situation. The idea of taking a thought captive and submitting it to Christ, is having self awareness about what you're thinking, discerning if it is fed by fear or faith and letting the faithfulness of God reign over your heart instead.

Suggestion: Meditate on verses that specifically address anxiety and journal what they mean to you and how it applies to your life in that moment.

James 4:8

James 4:8

"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." -James 4:8 (ESV)

It's all too easy to let the love and hustle of this life become everything to us, especially when it comes to pursuing our own desires. But the truth is that if Christ doesn't have our heart first, He barely has it at all. In this season, God is calling you to draw near to His heart again, to give Him your life again. If you were honest, things have been a bit distant. But you are as close to God as you choose to be. Drawing close to God again simply begins with starting. Starting to pray again, starting to surrender to Him again, starting to read His word on a regular basis. This season it's time to get back to the basics and strengthen your relationship with God again.

Psalm 63:3

Psalm 63:3

God has been doing some great things in your life and the best is yet to come. You may have received some unexpected blessings, answered prayer and really finding yourself on that mountain top experience where everything is working out for you. In this season continue to recognize that everything good comes from Him. Thank him continually for his hand over your life, pouring out a heart of humble gratitude. Most of all, don't forget His goodness now when things may start to get tough.
