Trump Administration Kicks Out 60 Russians Over U.K. Poisoning

The Trump administration has ordered 60 Russians to be expelled from the United States.

This moves comes as other Western allies makes similar moves in response to the U.K. poisoning of a former Russian spy in Great Britain.

At the time of this writing 14 members of the European Union have made announcements about their plans to expel Russians from their countries in support of Britain.

In the West, Canada has also announced plans to expel a number of Russians in response.

The White House released a statement that noted that:

“Today’s actions make the United States safer by reducing Russia’s ability to spy on Americans and to conduct covert operations that threaten America’s national security.”

U.S. officials have estimated that there are over 100 Russian intelligence officers working inside the the country.

The Kremlin released a statement denying any links to the poisoning.
