The Washington Post is reporting that President Donald Trump is removing H.R. McMaster from his position as national security adviser. According to the Post, five people close to the situation have stated that the president is currently in talks to find a replacement.

Just last week, the president fired Tex Tillerson via executive tweet. This also comes after his economic advisor, Gary Cohn, resigned over trade issues and was replaced by conservative TV analyst Larry Kudlow.

It seems no one is safe as even John McEntee, the president's longtime aide was abruptly escorted off White House grounds after his security clearance was pulled. Even after all these departures, late last week the president hinted that more shakeups were coming.

Reports point to McMaster, the Army lieutenant general, getting on President Trump's bad side after stating that there was evidence that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. election. He noted that the evidence was "incontrovertible," after the announcement of more than a dozen indictments were handed out.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to the reports from the Washington Post by taking to Twitter to say that "contrary to reports they have a good working relationship and there are no changes at the NSC."

Sanders also previously stated that the working relationship with Rex Tillerson and President Trump was good and that he was not leaving the State Department. Tillerson was later fired from the administration via tweet.

This is a developing story.
