DACA Renewals Rejected For Being "Late"

A recent report from the New York Times shows that many DACA renewal forms were marked as "Late" even though they arrived before the official deadline. Lawyers representing several DACA recipients have shown certified mail receipts showing the forms arrived before the deadline. The USPS has apologized for the slow processing time.

It should be noted that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services requested that 28 states route DACA renewal forms through Chicago. Many DACA applicants are still waiting to hear back about their applications that were mailed before the October 5th deadline.
