Krul out for the season

Netherlands and Newcastle's woes continue as goalkeeper Tim Krul is ruled out for the rest of the season, putting the club's Premier League season in doubt. Still, not all bad as Newcastle could be entitled to millions in compensation.

2

Müller in the Premier League

Thomas Müller could be open to a move to the Premier League. “In the end, we should not forget that playing football is our job,” he said. “So people should accept that wages will always play a role in a player’s decision-making. Of course, the wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that."

3

Klopp fever on Merseyside

With Jurgen Klopp announced as manager of Liverpool the Red half of the city goes into Kloppoverdrive.

4

Klopp won't raid BVB in January

Klopp ruled out raiding Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window but we think he could snap up one of his former players during the summer.

5

England with perfect qualifying

England qualifies with a perfect 100% record, which will no doubt add expectation for next summer's tournament. It remains to be seen if at all England can improve on last summer's miserable World Cup.

6

UK reigns supreme... almost

Wales and Northern Ireland book their places at Euro 2016 against all odds, along with England. Scotland will be staying at home after they missed out on a playoff place to Republic of Ireland.

7

Lewandowski and Poland on fire

Robert Lewandowski may have equalled record-breaker David Healy's 13-goal haul during qualifiers but Poland have scored 33 in total so it's not all about the Bayern star.

8

Albania

Albania have also qualified for the European Championships for the first time and we just can't wait to see how they perform!

9

Iceland top group

Netherlands, Turkey and Czech Republic were the favourites to fight for the top spot in their Euro 2016 group, but they probably did not pay enough attention to Iceland. The Nordic country topped the group and left Netherlands in the dust.

10

Superclassico friendly

With international duty taking some players away from the clubs, River won 1-0. The defeat could have a negative impact on Boca, who are leading the Argentinian league with 3 games to go.
