Man United host Arsenal on a Super Sunday

Arsenal will be coming off the back of their Champions League loss to Barcelona, determined not to let slip yet another chance for the Premier League title, especially since European glory is surely now out of their grasp. United will be buoyant following their escapades in the Europa League and even if they are not title contenders they will certainly not let Wenger's boys pull down their pants on home soil. Expect a score draw.

Liverpool and Man City in the Carling Cup final

Liverpool's advancement in the Premier League under Jürgen Klopp hasn't quite been the title-challenge Reds fans had hoped for when the German took over at Anfield, but a cup final at first ask is certainly no underachievement. It's Manuel Pellegrini's first chance for a last piece of silverware at Man City and so we can't see him sticking the kids out for this one. It should be a cracker.

Napoli need Higuaín to start firing once again

It is no coincidence that it’s been four games without a win for Napoli and four games without a goal for Gonzalo Higuaín. That quartet of fixtures has seen Napoli knocked off the top of the table (thanks to Juventus) and knocked out of the Europa League (thanks to Villarreal). The latter should not bother i Ciucciarelli too much but the former will - they are desperate for a Scudetto for the first time since they had another Argentine leading the line. This weekend, they have a tough match against (third-placed) Fiorentina, who possess one of the better defences in Serie A. Higuaín will have to rediscover his form if Napoli are to keep pace with Juventus.

Lyon are PSG’s last major obstacle on the way to an unbeaten season

Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Lyon in an optimistic mood — and with good reason. They have not lost a league game since March 2015, a run of 36 consecutive matches. There is a genuine fear around the rest of Ligue 1 that Paris may go the entire season unbeaten and given their remaining schedule, the trip to Lyon may the last best hope for a PSG defeat. Lyon have been resurgent of late, winning three of their last four but like the rest of Ligue 1 they have struggled against PSG this season, losing all four previous meetings and being outscored 12-2 in the process. Unfortunately for the rest of France, we can expect more of the same on Sunday.

The last nail in the coffin for either Real or Atléti?

Madrid will be on fire this weekend. Not only are we dealing with one of the most passionate derbies in the world, this match could put the last nail in the coffin for both sides' title hopes, something Gerard Piqué is praying for, as he recently admitted. Atléti are having a lot of problems scoring, only managing to find the back of the net once in the last three matches and Zizou's "honeymoon" already came to an end last weekend in La Rosaleda. This is a crucial match for both teams in order to keep dreaming of the title.
