Sora has all the qualities of a typical hero. He is courageous, selfless, cheerful, forgiving, somewhat childish at times in terms of getting easily angered, and above all else, willing to risk everything including his life to protect everyone around him, especially his best friends

Ventus is a cheerful and likeable boy. For him, every day is a new discovery. He may be naive, but you couldn't ask for a more loyal friend.

Beneath Terra's mellow exterior lies a young man with tremendous drive; he is wholly devoted to his training and determined to find greater strength.

A kind, young woman whose sense of right and wrong never wavers. Aqua's dignified bearing belies an inner sensitivity, and she often looks after her friends.

Axel is a good manipulator, able to act cool around people while hiding his other plans. He also has no problem betraying when necessary. He is sarcastic and without a care in the world at times. He cares about his friends even if he hides it sometimes.

Roxas shows a lot of emotions at times. He is a little arrogant, but not nearly as easily fooled as Sora. Roxas is also not so much the hero type like Sora, instead, simply wishing to have a normal life with his friends. However, he cares deeply for his friends and will go to the ends of the earth for them. He is also very reflective.

Xion is a mostly timid, quiet, and sometimes lacks a lot of emotion. However, she does open up with her friends, as she cares about them.

Xemnas's lack of emotion deprives him of remorse for his actions, and the only thing he truly cares about is his desire for power. However, on some occasions, he had appeared to value friendship, Xemnas is truly emotionlessin every sense of the word

Xigbar has a laid-back and cocky attitude. When not working, he occasionally enjoys eavesdropping on his friends/roommates. He relies heavily on instinct rather than on intelligence for both decision-making and fighting, making him adaptable and unpredictable.

Xaldin acts sadistic and appears to revel in despair. He is sarcastic and impatient. He expresses a keen interest in the psychological weaknesses of his opponents, and how they can be exploited.

Vexen approaches problems like an intellectual, with a hypothesis and a method to test those hypotheses. He appears to view life as a grand experiment, suiting his title as "The Chilly Academic". He appears very much like the stereotypical 'mad scientist'.

Not much is known about Lexaeus. What is known, however, is that he is intelligent and laconic, only speaking when he finds it necessary. It's also known that he's incredibly loyal to those he trusts.

Zexion conducts his tasks in a veil of secrecy. He also holds a fondness for literature, the arts, and humanities. He mostly keeps to himself, but will do whatever it takes to atone for any mistakes he makes.

Saïx behaves mostly as a cold, emotionless, and efficient operative. He acts very calmly, never losing composure in even the direst of situations. He is very aware of how emotions are unreal to him.

Demyx has a very casual, cowardly, and lazy personality—though this may simply be an act. He seems to dislike working as much as he dislikes fighting; he even goes so far as to manipulate others, dumping his missions on them and going off to have fun.

Luxord is a man of games and luck. He seems to not be bothered as long as he can continue to gamble and see interesting things. Luxord is also portrayed as a master of rhetoric, with an advanced vocabulary.

Marluxia is quite deceptive in nature. He is often portrayed as very arrogant and vain. Marluxia has a habit of being overly dramatic and giving long speeches, and he takes great pride in his appearance.

Although Larxene is normally smiling, she can be undoubtedly cold, ruthless, and uncaring, and appears to love nothing more than to bring other people down. Described the most as a domineering woman of strong personality, who does not ask, but tells, she has sharp wit and sardonic remarks ready to spite others on purpose. Her jokes tend to be more ill-humored as well, enabling anyone to successfully get irritated, and sometimes if pushed far enough, yell or charge at her in anger, a reaction which she seems to find humorous.
