1:03 - Biddenham
There were many happy faces today at Biddenham School among
the students collecting their GCSE results.
Overall the school saw a 14 per cent improvement in English
GCSE results, which is especially good with the new ‘harder’
grading system.
The following students are amongst the schools top performers:
Ayesha Akther, Jasmine Ajayi, Oscar Bennewith, Gurpreet
Bhamra, Goncalo Bret, Kadeja Begum, Yasmina Begum, Eden
Carter, Michael Jones, Rubel Miah, Nawaz Khan, Luke Lipski,
Miguel Porto, Ava Sharma and Leon Tse.
“These results have put the icing on the cake of our excellent A level results last week. We have tremendous staff at the school who have supported, cajoled and coached our students to fantastic results.

Bedford Free School is delighted today to be able to announce another very strong set of GCSE results, with many measures up further again on last year’s stellar performance.

12:28 - Samuel Whitbread Academy
The school celebrated 71% of students gaining a 9-4 in English and maths and a total of 35 students gaining one or more of the new grade 9s in
English or maths.
There were a number of individual highlights this year with several students achieving top grades, including Beth Warriner, who achieved grade 9s in English and maths, and Kieran Cawley, who achieved three grade 9s
alongside 6A* grades.
I am absolutely thrilled that all the hard work by students and staff has
paid off so spectacularly this year. With all the changes to the maths and English GCSEs we were
understandably a bit anxious but students have risen
to the challenge.

11:41 - Redbourne Upper School
Four students achieved the new highest GCSE grade of 9 in English Language, English Literature and Maths.
Harry Ashby, Michael Wetherill, Max Lister and Elizabeth White had the three 9s.
Jack Lynch's grades were a massive 20 above his predictions.
Roshni Patel, who has been nominated for Young People of the Year Award, was awarded 3 A*, one 8, and six 7s.

Elizabeth White had the three 9s plus 5 A* and 2 As.
Max Lister had the three 9s plus 5 A* and 2 As.
Michael Wetherill had the three 9s along with an impressive 7 A* grades.
Jack Lynch's had one grade 9, 5 A*, one 8 and three 7s.
There have been some very impressive results with four of our students achieving the new 999 - the highest grades in English Language, English Literature and maths. Congratulation to the students and staff for all their hard work.

10:10 - Wootton Upper School
This particular year group are absolutely fantastic and the staff are immensely pleased by the results. There was a real buzz of excitement when the students
were collecting their results and more than fifty members of the teaching staff were present to share in the celebrations.
Best results came from:
Kevin Chirayil - the top performing male student achieving two grade 9s and one grade 8, along with eight A*grades, plus a distinction A* grade (A^) in Further Mathematics.
Holly Gregory - the top performing female student achieving two grade 9s and one grade 8, along with eight A*grades, plus one A grade.
“These great GCSE results follow-on from similarly fantastic A level results last week at Kimberley College.
We wish all of our Year 11 students every success as they move to Kimberley in September to
continue their studies.

9:44 - Bedford Academy
Bedford Academy is celebrating excellent GCSE results again with more students than ever before returning for Level 3 study.
Some of our highest achievers included:
Saajan Gill who got 3 Grade 9s, 5 A*s and 4As
Joshua Hawking with 2 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, 4 A*s and 2 As
Adam Haque who secured 2 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, 3 A*s and 6 As.
