If you are overweight, you need to face reality and admit you are facing some serious health risks, some of which cause premature death and substantial disability.
The following are some of the most notorious health problems caused by obesity.

Risk 1: Coronary Heart Disease, Strokes, and Heart Attacks
When people are overweight, their cholesterol level is higher, which results in increased pressure on the heart and damages other organs as well.
Studies indicate that being overweight increases the risk of heart disease by 32%, and obesity, which is considered as a higher overweight level does so by 81%.
Risk 2: Higher Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is six times more common to occur in people who are overweight than in people who are light enough to be considered "healthy."
The American Heart Association recorded that 22 pounds of excess weight increases systolic blood pressure, which, according to them, often results in a 24% higher risk of a stroke, and people who are severely obese a 64% higher chance of a stroke.
Risk 4: Type 2 Diabetes
A person with type 2 diabetes has a body which doesn’t use the insulin in the correct manner. At first, the body creates more insulin, but after a while, the body cannot make sufficient insulin to regulate the blood sugar level anymore.
Your chances of getting diabetes are that much higher if you are overweight.
Diabetes can result into early death, a stroke, kidney disease, and even blindness.
Risk 6: Metabolic Syndrome
This is the name for a bunch of factors that increase your risk for heart disease and other issues.
If you have any 3 or more of the following body traits, you might be suffering from this syndrome.
1. A large waistline, or abdominal obesity, like on the hips.
2. A triglyceride level which is above normal.
3. A HDL-cholesterol level which is too low.
4. A high blood pressure.
5. Higher than normal fasting blood sugar.
Risk 7: Cancer
Everyone’s body is different, and cancer is an unpredictable disease that leaves many scientists scratching their heads.
However, if you are overweight, it's certain that it does increase the risk of getting cancer in some degree.
So why take the risk, right?
Better to lose weight and diet later, skip that chemotherapy, and have some lower medical bills in your life!
Risk:8 Sleep Apnea
Someone who has sleep apnea, could have a fatter neck. Because of that, the airway makes it harder to breathe.
The fat around the neck clogs the space which is needed to let oxygen come in, thus making it more difficult for someone to let the necessary air in.
This deficiency also causes someone to have difficulty focusing, and it makes them sleepier during the day.
Obesity is the leading risk factor for getting this disease.
Having this disease also increases the risk of a stoke or other heart pains.
Risk 9: Fatty Liver Disease
This one is also known as "nonalcoholic steatohepatitis." It happens when fat build up in the liver and damages the organs.
It may cause cirrhosis or liver failure. It is most common with people who are middle-aged, or overweight, and/or diabetic.
Fatty liver disease is also possible to appear in children. If you have any problems with alcohol, this can increase the chance of getting this disease too.
