The Ultimate Pettiness Mrs. Weasley
The Ultimate Pettiness Mrs. Weasley

Mrs. Weasley is what keeps the Weasleys and basically all of the wizarding world together. She is one of the best mother figures you could ask for. She has a big heart, even though she sometimes reigns with an iron fist. We all know that when Molly is riled up, it can lead to some of the best sass in the series! think it is time to count down the top five of Mrs. Weasley pettiest moments.
5. He's Not James, Sirius
"He's not an adult either!" said Mrs. Weasley, the color rising in her cheeks. "He's not James, Sirius!"
Molly Weasley
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
Mrs. Weasley has always made sure that Harry has felt like one of the Weasleys, and therefore, she feels completely comfortable referring to him as her own child. In Order of the Phoenix, when Sirius is trying to explain to Harry what the Order is, she decides that she is Harry's mother and what she says goes. Sirius gets put in his place because he isn't treating Harry like godson but like his friend.
4. Dividing Up the Trio
No, Harry dear, I'd much rather you helped Arthur muck out the chickens, and Hermione, I'd be ever so grateful if you'd change the sheets for Monsieur and Madame Delacour ...
Molly Weasley
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
In Deathly Hallows, Molly's momma bear instincts kick in when she starts to learn that Harry, Ron, and Hermione plan on dropping out of Hogwarts to try and defeat Voldemort. The thing is, Molly doesn't care about "the greater good" of saving the world, she cares about the safety her son, her adopted son, and future daughter in law. So, she decides to split them up by giving them random chores before the wedding to halt their planning. During that entire month, instead of playing the bride card, she was playing the mother of the bride card.
3. The Howler
— ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED — YOUR FATHER'S FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK, IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT AND IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT BACK HOME.
Molly Weasley
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
Who could forget one of the most infamously embarrassing moments of Ron's life? When he crashes the flying car into the whomping willow, Mrs. Weasley decided to punish her son in the most extra way of all, by screaming through a card in front of all of Hogwarts. Only Neville seems to know the true scars that this incident gave to Ron. To her credit though, this only happened once in the books, and with all the mischief that the twins get up to, I'm almost surprised Molly doesn't mail one to Hogwarts every week.
2. Trying to Get Bill to Marry Tonks
"She keeps trying to get Tonks round for dinner. I think she's hoping Bill will fall for Tonks instead. I hope he does, I'd much rather have her in the family."
Ginny Weasley
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"
It is one thing to try to set your son up with a nice Hufflepuff girl, it is an entirely another thing to do it while your son is already happily engaged. Throughout Half-Blood Prince, Molly is casually asking Tonks around for tea and dinner, and while part of this may be a kind gesture to give her some company after the death of Sirius, her true motives are to edge a certain part-Veela out of her family tree. To be fair, Tonks and Bill would probably make a cute punk rock couple, and we know that Tonks would be cool with the whole bitten by a werewolf thing. Mrs. Weasley definitely found the way to throw the ultimate shade at Fleur.
1. Hermione's Easter Egg
Both Harry’s and Ron’s were the size of dragon eggs, and full of home-made toffee. Hermione’s, however, was smaller than a chicken’s egg. Her face fell when she saw it.
‘Your mum doesn’t read Witch Weekly, by any chance, does she, Ron?
Hermione
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"
Molly's most petty moment of the series comes just in time for the Easter season. Easter isn't mentioned very often in the Harry Potter series, but this time it shows the true level of Mrs. Weasley's pettiness. In Goblet of Fire, Rita Skeeter publishes a fake gossip piece about how Hermione is toying with Harry's heart. Unfortunately, Mrs. Weasley believes it. While her motherly soul could never just not give Hermione an egg, she gets her feeling across very clearly by making her chocolate the size of a chicken egg, while Ron and Harry's are the sizes of literal dragon eggs. For Hermione, this may have been the first look at what it looks like to cross her future mother in law.
