Teenagers Challenge the Norms 1950's

The birth of Rock n Roll was the beginning of a teenage rebellion. Parents did not like the genre because they thought that it caused juvenile delinquency. Parents also feared that with increasing crime rates their children would take up the acts of the musicians they loved and the criminals.

Brown v. Board of Education- a Court case in the 50's where separate public schools for white and colored students were established unconstitutional.

Boys weren't allowed to wear blue jeans, but musicians influenced a change and teenagers picked up on the style during the 50's
