You Are A Baby Boomer

You Are A Baby Boomer

THE BABY BOOMER GENERATION
(Born between 1946 and 1964.)

Baby Boomers are extremely hardworking and motivated by position, perks, and prestige. They are confident, independent and self-reliant. This generation grew up in an era of reform and believe they can change the world. They had many more educational and financial opportunities than previous generations. Baby Boomers are achievement-oriented, dedicated and career-focused.
Since Baby Boomers equate work and position with self-worth, they are quite competitive in the workplace. They are often traditionalists and are resistant to change.

You Are A Millennial

THE MILLENNIAL GENERATION
(Born roughly between 1980 and 2004.)

Millennials grew up in an electronics-filled and increasingly online and socially-networked world. They are the generation that has received the most marketing attention. As the most ethnically diverse generation, Millennials tend to be tolerant of difference. Having been raised under the mantra "follow your dreams" and being told they were special, they tend to be confident. While largely a positive trait, the Millennial generation’s confidence has been argued to spill over into the realms of entitlement and narcissism. They are often seen as slightly more optimistic about the future of America than other generations -- despite the fact that they are the first generation since the Silent Generation that is expected to be less economically successful than their parents.

You Are Generation X

You Are Generation X

GENERATION X
(Born roughly between 1965 and 1980.)

Members of Generation X were children during a time of shifting societal values and the children were sometimes called the "latchkey generation”, due to reduced adult supervision compared to previous generations. This was a result of increasing divorce rates and increased maternal participation in the workforce. As adolescents and young adults, they were dubbed the “MTV Generation” and characterized as slackers and as cynical and disaffected. In midlife, research describes Gen X adults as active, happy, and as achieving a work-life balance. The cohort has been credited with entrepreneurial tendencies.
