How Electrical Scooters Made My Summer Fun Again

Not to brag, but I'm known as one of the craftiest single parents in the US. Ok, maybe I just made that up, but I had a terrific idea this summer, and it's simple: putting a twist on every summer activity with an electric scooter. I realized that I had been recycling the same four or five activities every summer, and it's because my family had ingrained these "summer traditions" so deep in me, that I was subconsciously doing the same with my children. I thought it was time to change things up and decided to purchase some folding electrical scooters for my two girls and myself and follow traditions while riding a fast electrical scooter.

Electrical Scooter Races in The Park

One of my favorite activities was heading to the park and having a picnic with Heidi and Jessie, so my twist last year was to have an electrical scooter race around the park and whoever won got some extra summer money. Now, electrical scooters are some of the safest alternative means of transportations in today's city, but I still decided to get a folding electrical scooter for children with a speed limit. I'm telling you these races got very serious!

At the end of the race we’d munch on the food we had prepared the day before and finished off with some ice-cream. The closest shop was fairly near, so we just used our electrical scooters to get there as well, we stuck by the sidewalks and just zipped past commuters and other tourists.

We never really had any problems riding our electric scooters, but it’s always a good idea to get some protective gear for everyone. We went with a helmet and kneepads combo, and it seemed more than enough protection for riding our fast electric scooter. Touring the Town

So it turns out my town is not nearly as boring as I originally thought. I Google searched my town's name and interesting summer activities as came up with a bunch of results, so we decided to become tourists for one day and use our folding electric scooters as transportation.

What we did was visit an antique car show and food event and took our fast electric scooters out on the run. We zipped past the cars for quite a while, played with some dogs that were being walked at the time and then finally packed the folding electric scooters back in the car to enjoy some of the food trucks that were part of the event.

Final Thoughts

I’m telling you, thinking outside the box is massively underrated nowadays. I keep hearing parents complain it’s very hard to get kids to go outside with so many gaming consoles and indoors distractions, but sometimes you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, all you have to do is spice things up a bit.

Electric scooters are not only a popular kid’s toy selection, they’re actually incredibly efficient for commuters that are strapped on cash, or those of us who really enjoy the outdoors and fresh air so keep that in mind as well.  Anyways I hope you enjoyed this read, and hopefully got a few ideas for this year’s summer as well!
