On National DNA Day, find out a little more about yourself!
On National DNA Day, find out a little more about yourself!
Today is National DNA Day, the day when James Watson and Francis Crick (and their colleagues) published their findings in 1953 about what DNA looked like. Isn't that cool?
Anyway, today when most people think of DNA, they think of those companies where you send them your saliva and they tell you where your grandmother's grandmother is from or that you're a half-percent Portuguese. Some people also think of genetic traits, like which genes they got from which parent (tall or short, good at sports or not, brown or blonde hair, smart or... well, you get the idea).
So, to commemorate the great discovery of DNA from almost 70 years ago, we thought we'd see if we can guess something simple about you based on some questions about your genes and personality: what you eat for breakfast!
Here we go...
What color are your eyes?
What is your favorite time of day?
How often do you get colds/the flu?
What was your best subject in school?
What color is your hair?
How much do you like sports?
