Chef (USA - 2014)

A chef (Jon Favreau) who loses is restaurant job, refit an old food truck and begin to sell Cuban sandwiches around the country with his estranged son.

Why you should watch it: The food presentation is incredible in this movie. just imagine close ups of gourmet meals cooked by a very gifted chef. This movie will definitely put a smile on your face.

Warning: Do not watch with an empty stomach because it will only make matters worse.

A rat who probably can cook better than you makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous restaurant in Paris a.k.a. one of the cutest movies any foodie could watch. Am I right or am I right?

Why you should watch it: It is another vibrant Pixar masterpiece. Ratatouille is spectacular, poetic and suites all ages. This would make a great movie night for the family.

Why you should watch it: Mainly the movie is about wine. You need some refreshment from watching the other movies about food and this exquisite indie dramedy (drama/comedy) will do that for you, buddy. Be careful not to get too drunk.

Babette is a fine French cook, who in 1871, for political reasons must leave Paris and find refuge in a desolate village in Denmark. After years of humble service of two elderly sisters, Babette organizes for them and their friends a proper French lunch. The meal is going to be an eye-opening experience for everyone.

Why you should watch it: It is an outstanding classic movie, with an Academy Award for best foreign movie. Also, food. Duh.

A Chinese chef lives in a large house in Taipei with his three unmarried, and very unique, daughters. Every Sunday the family has dinner together. The thing is, the independent and very modern daughters brings food to the table that clashes with the meals by their very traditional father.

Why you should watch it: It is a delightful movie that will show you how promising Ang Lee already was at the beginning of his career.
