A giant (emphasis on giant) salamander was discovered in a cave in Chongqing, Southwestern China. The creature is 4 feet 7 inches long and weighs about 104 pounds. CCTV News showcases the creature here:

The Chinese salamander is considered to be critically endangered and it's life expectancy is usually around 50 years. Finding a critically endangered species that has lived four times it's usual life expendency doesn't happen every day.
