Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent by the Republic to negotiate a Trade Federation blockade of the planet of Naboo. The Jedi are attacked however, and they must get to Queen Amidala and get her to Coruscant in order to present her case to the senate.
As they escape, their ship is damaged and they stop on the planet of Tatooine for repairs. Qui-Gon meets a young slave named Anakin Skywalker, who is greatly strong in the Force and is able to free him by betting on a podrace.
As they escape an ambush by the Sith Lord Darth Maul, Qui-Gon presents Anakin to the Jedi Council but he is forbidden to be trained, while Queen Amidala presents her case to the Supreme Chancellor but nothing is solved.
The Queen returns to her planet with the two Jedi and Anakin to liberate it.The Gungan Jar Jar Binks fights the Trade Federation droids with his Gungan warriors, Anakin destroys the droid control ship in a space battle, and the Jedi engage in a lightsaber duel with the Sith Lord.

After an assassination attempt against Senator Amidala fails, Anakin is tasked with a mission to escort her to her home planet of Naboo. Meanwhile Obi-Wan is sent to the mysterious planet Kamino to trace the source of the attempt on her life.
Obi-Wan discovers a clone army that has been secretly ordered to serve the Republic, while on Naboo, Anakin and Amidala fall in love. Anakin has nightmares of his mother in peril and travels to Tatooine to save her but he is too late as his mother is killed by Tusken Raiders. Enraged, Anakin slaughters the whole camp, including the women and children.
Obi-Wan engages in a fight with bounty hunter Jango Fett and goes to the planet Geonosis where he is captured by former Jedi Count Dooku.
Anakin and Padme go to rescue him but they are also captured until Mace Windu and many Jedi arrive, fighting many battle droids. Yoda arrives with the clone army as they pursue and fight Count Dooku but he escapes. The Clone Wars begin and Anakin and Padme marry.

Anakin and Obi-Wan lead a mission to rescue the kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, where Anakin kills Count Dooku but the fiendish General Grievous escapes.
Plagued by disturbing visions of Padme's death who is pregnant at the time, Anakin confides in Palpatine as he reveals to be the Sith Lord that they've been looking for.
Meanwhile Obi-Wan goes to the Utapau System and is able to kill Grievous. On Coruscant, Palpatine is confronted by Mace Windu who is betrayed by a Anakin after the Sith Lord promises him to save Padme from death.
Giving himself to the dark side of the Force, Anakin is knighted Darth Vader. Palpatine issues Order 66 as Vader goes and kills all the Jedi in the temple.
Obi-Wan is able to escape the attack from his own clone troopers and reunites with Yoda and Bail Organa. Anakin goes to Mustafar and kills all the Separatist leaders, ending the Clone Wars. In the senate Palpatine declares himself emperor. Obi-Wan tracks down Anakin and they engage in a brutal fight.

Young Han and his girlfriend Qi'ra are separated trying to escape mobsters on Corellia. Hoping to find her, Han enlists in the Empire as a pilot. Years later he meets Tobias Beckett and his crew, teams up with the wookiee Chewbacca, and defects the Empire. He joins Beckett to to steal a shipment of coaxium on Vandor-1, which goes awry. Later on, Han encounters Qi'ra who now works for crime boss Dryden Vos.
Han then meets Lando Calrissian and they go on a mission to the Kessel mines aboard Lando's ship the Millennium Falcon.
As they escape Kessel, the ship lands on Savareen as they are confronted by Enfys Nest, who claims that the cargo will be used to help a rebellion. Han and the crew are abandoned by Lando and they go to Dryden Vos for the delivery.
Han is betrayed by Beckett and they engage in a shootout as Vos is killed by Qi'Ra. Han tracks down Beckett, who has taken Chewbacca prisoner and shoots him, killing him. Then he goes and finds Lando and wins the Falcon in a game of Sabac

Little Jyn Erso is raised by extremist Saw Gerrera after her mother is killed by the Empire and her father is forced to work on a secret weapon. Years later Jyn is recruited by the rebellion to help them find her father Galen to gain more information on the secret weapon.
Along with Cassian Andor and his crew, they travel to Jedha to steal kyber crystals and they are rescued by Gerrera. Jyn sees a hologram message from her father revealing a weak point on the the new battle station, the Death Star.
The group goes to the planet Scarif after Galen is killed in an Imperial research facility on Eadu. Arriving on scarif disguising themselves as Imperials, Jyn and Cassian infiltrate the Imperial garrison and steal the plans of the Death Star. Meanwhile the Rebellion launches an attack on Scarif in order to allow the transmission of the schematics.
The Death Star fires its laser, killing Jyn, Cassian, and everyone on the planet, but not before the plans are transmitted to Princess Leia.

Princess Leia Organa is captured by Lord Vader right after hiding the plans of the Empire's ultimate weapon the Death Star, inside the droid R2-D2. Who along with C-3PO they escape to the planet Tatooine.
Farmer boy Luke Skywalker acquires the droids and meets old Ben Kenobi, former Jedi Knight and general. When Luke's aunt and uncle are killed by stormtroopers, Luke accompanies Ben and they meet Han Solo and his companion Chewbacca to take them to deliver the plans to the Alderaan System.
Alderaan is destroyed by the Death Star and Han's ship is captured. Luke and Han search and rescue the princess as Ben becomes one with the Force in a lightsaber duel against his former pupil, Vader. Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, and the droids manage to escape and reach the rebel base on Yavin.
The rebels prepare to attack the Death Star as the Empire closes in on the rebel base to destroy the Alliance once and for all. Luke joins the attack and manages to destroy the battle station by using the Force.

As the rebels establish a new base on the ice planet of Hoth, Lord Vader launches an attack after receiving information from a probe droid on the planet. Luke joins the battle in order to give time to the rebels to evacuate.
Meanwhile Han, Leia, Chewie, and C-3PO leave the planet only to be pursued by the Empire through an asteroid field. The Millennium Falcon has hyperdrive problems and they go to Bespin to seek Han's friend Lando Calrissian for repairs.
Luke along with R2, on Obi-Wan's request, goes to the Dagobah System to seek and train under Jedi Master Yoda.
In Cloud City Han is betrayed by Lando and captured by Vader, he is frozen in carbonite to be delivered to Jabba the Hutt. Lando has a change of heart and helps Leia and Chewie escape. Luke arrives in Cloud City against Yoda's and Obi-Wan's advise to help his friends but he faces Vader in a duel, and he's beaten. Vader reveals that he is Luke's father and Luke refuses to join him. He manages to escape and is rescued by Leia.

Luke and his companions orchestrate a plan to infiltrate Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine and manage to rescue Han Solo. They kill Jabba and escape. Han, Leia, Chewie, and Lando return to the Rebel Alliance as Luke goes back to Dagobah to finish his training.
However he finds a dying Yoda, who reveals the truth about Vader. Obi-Wan reveals that Leia is Luke's sister. The rebels regroup to plan an attack on a new, more powerful Death Star as Luke joins Han and Leia on a mission to the Endor moon to destroy the battle station's shield generator.
On Endor, the rebels meet the Ewoks and they use their help to infiltrate the shield bunker. Luke becomes obsessed with bringing his father back from the dark side of the Force and goes to the Death Star to confront him and the Emperor.
Lando commences the attack on the Death Star as Han destroys the shield generator. As the Emperor is killing Luke, Vader kills his master and is redeemed. The Death Star is destroyed and there is a celebration.

Stormtrooper Finn decides to defect the First Order after he sees a village being massacred on the planet Jakku. Meanwhile a scavenger named Rey meets the droid BB-8 and they team up with Finn.
After being attacked by stormtroopers, they manage to get off planet on the Millennium Falcon. Han Solo and Chewbacca take the ship back and meet with the trio. After escaping a skirmish with scoundrels on Solo's cargo freighter, they travel to Takodana to seek help from Maz Kanata to take them to the Resistance.
The First Order attack Maz's castle as Kylo Ren, who is Han and Leia's estranged son, captures Rey. He tortures Rey in order to know where Luke Skywalker is but Rey resists. Han and Leia are reunited, and with Finn and pilot Poe Dameron's help they forge a plan to destroy Starkiller Base, a superweapon planet.
Han and crew find Rey but Han is killed by Kylo Ren. Rey and Kylo engage in a lightsaber fight as the Resistance destroys the base. Rey beats him and goes in search of Skywalker.

After destroying Starkiller Base, the Resistance is on the run from the First Order. Rey goes to the planet Ach-To and finds a disgruntled Luke, who has given up on being a Jedi.
Luke reluctantly decides to teach Rey a few lessons as well as the history between him and Kylo Ren's relationship. Finn, along with mechanic Rose Tico and BB-8, go to the casino planet of Canto Bight to find a hacker that can help them infiltrate Supreme Leader Snoke's ship but are betrayed and captured.
Rey tries to convince Luke to help the Resistance but he refuses. She goes to Kylo in order to bring him back to the light.
Leia scolds Poe for his mistakes in fighting the First Order, and with the help from Admiral Holdo, they go to the planet Crait. Kylo betrays his master Snoke, killing him and begging Rey to join him but she refuses.
Kylo then prepares to destroy the Resistance on Crait, until Luke shows up. However, it was a Force illusion to give them time to escape. An exhausted Luke apparently dies.
