The Ideal Man 1950s

Now, look at that man hard at work making his time when spent at work. Most men in the 1950s were either mechanics, plumbers, bus drivers, warehouse work, and road construction workers.

Most of the men I the 1950s would be off to work ready to come home to the wife's dinner. But on their free time the average man and his friend would get together about just go out and start bowling or fish/hunt or just stay home watch some movies like King Solomon’s Mines or other famous movies.

When men ever had the chance to stay home they would either watch famous movies or hang out with their family's or just enjoy themselves. But this famous movie was famous throughout the 1950s, with T.V. just going crazy with movies and shows were famous actors arrived. Men portrayed as complete B.A.s

Men today still dance but not with the same spirit like back then and swing and Jazz are not as big as it was. But some people still like it for some reason.

Most men work all day everyday. Men had jobs similar to those of today, without the computer and technology field, which wasn’t nearly what it is today. Jobs were mainly industrial or agricultural, with many men working in blue-collar jobs as mechanics, plumbers, bus drivers, warehouse workers and road construction workers.

Meatloaf and jello were the best type of food and now most people still eat them but still not as the 50s. Most wives would have it prepared with Mashed potatoes and gravy and peas or butter beans. Or stew made with beef, potatoes and carrots was also a very popular meal.
