Stiles is a student at Beacon Hills High School and the son of Beacon County's Sheriff Stilinski.
His mother, Claudia Stilinski, died in 2004. He was present when she passed and has never gotten over her death. For some unknown reason, Stiles blames himself.
He was a geeky but otherwise normal kid before a werewolf bit his best friend and threw his world into constant chaos.
Stiles is sarcastic, funny and outspoken. He is extremely clever and has led the way in working through many of the mysteries

Prior to becoming a werewolf, Scott lacked athletic skill and required a rescue inhaler to treat his asthma. The transformation into a werewolf turned him into a superb athlete and also seems to have cured his asthma.
Scott attends Beacon Hills High School in Beacon Hills, California, where he is captain of the lacrosse team and runs cross country.
His parents are divorced. Scott lives with his mother Melissa McCall a nurse at the Beacon Hills Hospital. Scott's dad is a field agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and no longer lives in Beacon Hills.
Scott uses his powers to protect his friends and family. He cares about them very much.

She was, on the surface at least, shallow and spoiled but this turned out to be an elaborate act to hide the fact that she possesses a genius level IQ. She is well versed in chemistry and understands both classical and archaic Latin.
The ruse, along with her relationship with Jackson Whittemore, was part of a carefully orchestrated plan to maintain her popularity at Beacon Hills High School.
Lydia was manipulative with her friends, using them whenever it suited her ambitions.
As the supernatural elements began to close in though, her carefully crafted façade began to fall apart.

Liam lives with his mother and stepfather, a doctor.
He was kicked out of his former school after he "got into it" with his lacrosse coach. Liam was benched for the rest of the season after anger issues on the field. He then destroyed the coach's car with a crowbar.
Liam suffers from Intermittent Explosive Disorder which is marked by intense episodes of rage. He is remorseful about how his behavior hurts his parents and his friends.
His best friend, Mason Hewitt, often consoles him and gives him advice when he has a problem. Liam shows similar devotion when Mason turned out to be the host for Sebastien Valet and helps rescue him from The Beast's control over him.

Derek initially served as a mentor to Scott McCall, but the relationship soured after Derek became an Alpha and began making choices Scott found immoral.
Despite this, Derek has remained loyal and continues protecting and fighting alongside Scott against numerous supernatural threats.



Derek was born into a family of werewolves. His mother, Talia Hale, was much respected within the werewolf community meaning Derek came into contact with members of a number of other packs.

Allison was an accomplished archer and gymnast.
Her family life was difficult. Her mother was given to fits of rage. Her father was over-protective while Allison had a bit of a rebellious streak.
She was friends with Lydia Martin, Jackson Whittemore and Stiles Stilinski. She was romantically involved with Scott McCall and Isaac Lahey.
Allison died in Scott's arms after trying to save Lydia from the Nogitsune.

She is the biological daughter of Peter Hale and Corinne, The Desert Wolf, although she was adopted and considers Henry Tate to be her father.
She was thought dead for eight years after the deaths of her adoptive mother and little sister. All the while, she was actually living fully transformed as a Werecoyote.
She is quite funny and determined.

Kira is a student and the daughter of Beacon Hills High School's new History teacher.
She was unaware of her true nature until her supernatural abilities were forced to manifest during an attack by mass murderer William Barrow.
Derek says she is a "young" Kitsune and unable to mask her nature from the enhanced werewolf vision and flash photography.
Her mother describes her as a "Thunder" Kitsune.
