Born Edward Teach in Bristol, England in 1680. Teach adopted the name Blackbeard and became the most feared pirate in the world, terrorizing merchant ships with his crew aboard his vessel, the Queen Anne's Revenge. He died in bloody battle with Naval forces in 1718.

The most-notorious American gangster there ever was, Al Capone rose to become the crime boss of Chicago in the 1920s and ran a violent gang that made their wealth through racketeering and illegal liquor. Capone would do time in several prisons including Alcatraz before dying of cardiac arrest at the age of 48.

An ex Confederate guerrilla soldier of the Civil War, Jesse James went on to a life of crime with the James-Younger Gang. Nothing was off limits and James would shoot anybody that stood in his way during one of his numerous train, stagecoach and bank robberies. Escobar had a powerful gang that he surrounded himself with in Medellín, Colombia, but even they couldn't stop the police who shot and killed him just one day after his 44th birthday.
