I am willing to commit to regular week night evenings during term time over a 12 month course.

I am willing to commit to occasional day time/weekend sessions during school holidays, over a 12 month course.

I understand that I will have to undertake ongoing training, which could be held during daytime or evenings and will be no more than seven days per year.

I have worked with and/or have a desire to work with young people aged 14-18 to help them make a difference to their lives and their communities.

I have knowledge, understanding and awareness of issues affecting young people.

I have experience of working with youth groups and community groups e.g. Scouts, Girl Guides, Olympics and/or other voluntary groups or emergency services.

I believe in the benefits of structured activities for young people.

I am able to receive direction and work as part of a team.

I am a confident and enthusiastic individual.

I have good communication and interpersonal skills.

I believe I am a good role model for young people.

I am looking to enhance my experience in developing others with a view to broadening my skills.

I am willing to engage with young people who may be having difficulty at school, have been excluded socially or educationally, are at risk of anti-social behaviour and/or those with little or no direction in life.

I have the ability to lead, motivate and empathise with young people.

I am willing and able to complete a small amount of written work e.g. complete forms.

I have considered my current employment and personal commitments and know these will not affect my ability to undertake the commitments required for this role.

I am aware that the courses are run across London and I will apply for the location(s) that I will be able to commit to.

I am patient and tolerant of others.

I have excellent time keeping and organisational skills.

I am aware that I will have to satisfy the requirements of an enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service check before being able to undertake this role.

Congratulations
