Try to meet 5 new people every day. The more friends you have, the easier it will be to get through and make meaningful contacts.

2

Go to the occasional party, get it out of your system, and don't waste your college years in a drunken stupor.

3

It's okay to skip class a few times if something more important and/or fun is going on, but DO NOT make it a habit or you're going to pay for it later in the semester, big time.

4

Call your parents every once in a while. It'll keep you grounded and even if they're embarrassing they know you better than anyone. You'll need to hear that familiar voice.

5

Girls: AVOID JERKS. At all costs. Guys: AVOID BARBIES. I guarantee nearly 100% of the time the person you'll have more fun with looks much less "cool", but they're way better for you.

6

Get a job! Sure it's going to be a lot to handle with classes and a new place, but having an income is a huge help and will actually help you with your time management.

7

Stay in touch with old friends. It's easy to get distracted but for the people who matter, you're going to want to keep up with them or you'll regret it later.

8

Reinvent your style! No one knows you, so why not try some new things?! Get a new haircut, try a new look, or start that weird hobby you've always wanted to.

9

Look up what studies abroad your school offers and start planning one into your college experience. Get the generals out of the way so you can travel the world!

10

Last but not least, stay true to yourself. It's so easy in a new place to become a new person, but keep your core values and be a good friend. Don't go crazy or forget what you need to be happy. And most of all, ENJOY YOURSELF!
